June 4th Election Results ...... www.boroughgreen-news.com

Do you remember those happy days when all we had to worry about was Celcon and the Bypass?

Well now here comes a real wake-up call: there's always someone out there who wants to upset our quiet rural life, and here is the next instalment.

CPRE (Campaign for the Protection of Rural England) are calling a meeting of all interested parties on 23rd May 11am at St Georges Hall, Wrotham. They hope that all local Action Groups and Parish Councils attend, and of course the general public.

But let us be very clear: this is only an informal "concept" put together by developers who have just awoken to the fact that KIG at Maidstone may yet fail, and our "Green" Government may be looking for somewhere else to invoke yesteryear and a return to railfreight.

We simply do not have enough hard information to even decide whether we are for or agin, ( although I have my suspicions) , but rest assured, BG-TAG, Tim & Mike are on the case, they are at the moment abreast of the game and will keep me updated as news appears.
